Well...Spurs ARE still having to finance a billion pound stadium. Arsenal have been similarly hamstrung by having to pay for the Emirates, they've won f*** all since moving there. As mentioned earlier, despite the financial millstone of their stadium, only 4 teams have had a bigger net spend...
I was at that game at Ipswich, dressed as Zorro. They confiscated my plastic sword at the turnstile. Had to find a sodding Woolies to buy a replacement before I took the costume back.
They could add on ALL the time to account for the timewasting (as they seemed to do in the World Cup). But the problem is, the primary objective of all the shithousing is not so much wasting time, but disrupting the game. Stopping any flow, any momentum. Reducing the game to a series of...
After seeing Forests antics in the first half against us, I decided to time the stoppages in the second half with the stopwatch on my watch (sad I know, but I could see what their plan was and did it out of interest). With all their constant going to ground, rolling around, taking an AGE over...
EXACTLY the one I was going to post.
What makes this so special is that it was so unexpected from a downtrodden "nobody" (hence the title). No superpowers. And its so realistically brutal as well.
Loved this film and this scene, bloody marvellous.
Odd that we didn't fit that Muff or Palace game in last midweek, with it being kept spare for Cup replays. Only thing I can think of is probably too short notice, but shirley it could've been arranged. After all, you only get about 10-11 days notice for a replay, so whats the difference.
Spur are 5th in net spending over the last 5 years (£331m), so they've hardly been scrimping. And they've kept hold of their talisman.
Anyone would think that Spurs fans are being a little....entitled ?
Not a particularly likeable character, but they've been elevated to getting regular Champions League football under his watch (including a Final) as well as delivering probably the most state-of-the-art stadium in Europe.
Get rid of Levy and perhaps they could bring in that Fahad Moshiri chap...
So I've bought guest tickets under my name for a couple of malingers / glory hunters (delete as applicable) for Sunday, and selected to have them sent to my Google wallet. At the moment its still showing the ticket for the Muff game though.
I previously guested someone for the Spurs game...
Don't see why not. Give him a deal till the end of the season, with a maHOOsive bonus built in if he keeps them up. Come the summer both parties can take stock and discuss a new deal, or part ways.
And I suppose your "legendary" fans (circa around 14k tops in the Championship) would have been FLOODING along to a municipal uncovered athletics track in their droves to watch the likes of Cheltenham and Rochdale in the 3rd and 4th division.
Wind it in, chump.
Everton are FIVE POINTS worse off than they were at this point last season, when they stayed up by the width of a Rizler thanks to a feeble collapse by Palace at (not very) Goodison in the penultimate game, the useless twunts.
Now they have no Richarlison, the one player with an x-factor who...
