Like the Arctic in the Thames Valley. Been snowing for hours. Strong wind makes it feel like -10. Local roads bad. Schools shut everywhere. Gritters out overnight helped but morning rush hour to be avoided.
Storm Emma coming in from the South/South West is the problem. Experts still don't know where it will hit. Saying this morning it could reach London and then everything West of there. This storm hitting the cold front will create lots of snow.
The OP is clearly a local and as such, faces no pressure on his time. His proximity allows him the luxury of being flexible in his timing. He can leave home relatively late and still get to games on time and he can wait behind afterwards, as long as he likes, before strolling out to catch his...
Is that confirmed?
I thought discussions are still ongoing. I read that they were still to decide between 1.00pm or 3.00pm on the Sunday. Didn't think they had made a decision yet?
Gone are the days of booking rock bottom priced rail tickets three months in advance, knowing that extreme weather permitting, the game would take placed when originally scheduled. Much as I would love to take the train to games, the regularity of fixture re-scheduling, just makes rail travel...
For those of you with short memories, or too young to have known, they used to open the gates at the Goldstone with 20 minutes to go. Amazingly, there were always a few waiting to come in! Fans used to leave from this point onwards and there was always a steady stream out from 85 mins onwards...

Admittedly, their next 5 are tough but with players back, they are capable of getting serious points from the last 5 games. I can see them getting 10 points from those games.
I do break the routine from time to time. Game right in the balance, hanging on or pressing. Then its stay in seat to final seconds and then whoosh, away as quickly as poss.
For me, the pre-match experience is far more important than post match. Leave home approx 9.00am. Pick up friends en route. Dicks Bar early ( 12.15-12.30 ) Meet others. Drinks. Expectant chat. Watch televised game in full. Await team announcement.
For me, its all about getting away as quickly...
I have never thought Benteke had particularly good movement. He lacks a certain mobility and is best in the air. He needs plenty of space to score and is not that adept at finding it. Murray has much better positional sense and will get on the end of more chances.
Exactly but don't tell that to the Palace obsessives.
Beside themselves with joy when CP lost their first 7 games and then remarkably quiet when the revival kicked in and we struggled in December. Now we have a four point cushion, everything is rosy in the garden again. Lets see how chirpy fans...
