I could see him getting another crack at a similar club. When even the Stevenage chairman is talking about how he's been unlucky with injuries etc. you'd have think that someone will wonder what he'd do with a full squad.
Look at someone like Michael Appleton, I don't think he's particularly...
Is it possible that the club will have done a similar sort of equation and decided he simply isn't worth it? Earth shattering possibility I know but...
He'll get another chance somewhere else I would imagine, if for no other reason than he is who he is. Not that I think that's a bad thing, one bad first go does not a bad manager make.
Oh definitely, but to liken boxing (where the possibility of serious injury is presumably far higher than in others) to any other sport would be a little unreasonable in this instance.
I think this is another attempt at being cryptic but for once has gone too far.
'So I am going to help put the kids to bed'
Really means;
'So I'm going to go help the club finalise some signings and plan the media strategy for announcements.'
Obvious really.
Without wanting to seem tremendously cynical, I can't imagine many agents stopping him picking up a tv fee when they're likely to benefit somewhere down the line as well.
That said, I suppose it's entirely possible that FB needs the money and this is the best/quickest way to get it, even with...
Fair play to those that helped out, shocking of the others not to bother.
I'm sure that if asked (which they won't be) they'd spit out some mealy-mouthed response about how they have their own charity partners and do lots in the community already (probably true) or that in helping Carlisle...
It's more the mark of a great, if not phenomenal, manager.
I'd say a good manager is one that can take over a club and either inject some stability (if a relegation battle) or inspire improvement (even if slowly).
Nice commitment to being 'edgy' there, I'm sure all the notifications you'll have got have made you feel all tingly and proud. Well done.
As it is this is turning out to be a crap few months in terms of genuine showbusiness legends shuffling off the mortal coil, losing Bowie, Lemmy, Rickman...
