Could the same not be said about using the TV screen? Would it be reasonable to ask the person next to you to turn it off because you want to get some sleep but you are finding the light distracting? Or has that person paid for the seat and is thus entitled to full use of its facilities?
They wont be. It's no skin of their nose if they replace it or not. It's no additional labour as they will have the part off anyway. Sounds like they might be quoting for the genuine Toyota part though - you could probably bring the price down if you find someone who would use aftermarket...
The constant mass flywheel will almost certainly need replacing - if the clutch has gone, its rare that the flywheel hasn't. The big clutch is one of the downsides of a diesel - but when compared to the cost of a new car, well worth taking it on the chin and doing it IMHO.
Get the clutch fixed. It'll probably be the thick end of a grand for a 2.2L diesel, but the clutch is a wear and tear thing really and 110k isn't so bad for a clutch. Chances are it'll be good for many years if its been regularly serviced.
Yes and the TV show made some sort of comment about "holding the door open for her return". Can you imagine them doing the same if the presenter were male and charged with wife-beating?
I disagree completely with this. They seem to appeal to the same people, but there is very little similarity in the two - they have a completely different feel. This Country is a mockumentary whereas Detectorist is a kind of gentle comedy drama. I love them both.
You can see from the TV replays though that he was really trying to do that, but the beggar managed to step inside anyway - AND got a lucky bobble of the pitch. I thought Duffy was a bit unlucky.
I would just hang on to it. Don’t spend it. Put it somewhere it’ll earn a bit of interest. They almost certainly have a record of it and it’ll all be part of your annual tax calculation.
Anyone use them?
I'll be undertaking a fairly serious week's walking tour later in the year. I'm generally fairly fit but I'm slightly concerned about the ability of my increasingly arthritic frame to make it. Now I fully understand that walking poles make you look a right knob, but that...
Its ridiculous that there's so much coverage about it. There was absolutely nothing wrong with what she was wearing. Well done to her though for turning all this nonsense into profit for a good cause.
