I second both of these:
Another Girl, Another Planet - Only Ones
Outdoor Miner - Wire
And would like to nominate:
The Damned - New Rose
The Sex Pistols - Anarchy In the UK (whoever suggested 'Silly Thing' gets a severe look!)
TV Personalities - Where's Bill Grundy Now EP (feat 'Part Time...
I've just asked a Palace season ticket holder and he said that after the weekend's debacle against Swansea, when "they played us off the pitch, we didn't get near the ball", he genuinely cannot see them getting more than 20 - 23 tops.
Working just a couple of miles from Selhurst, there's about...
I was never a big fan of the Wolfhounds at the time, probably due to lack of exposure to them, but back in May, the day after we moved house, I attended a weekender in north London. By the end of the night I was absolutely shattered and and really quite pissed. I was desperate to go home but...
June Brides kinda played last year; http://vimeo.com/groups/indietracks/videos/46360824
I can't play the clip at work, so have no idea as to how it sounds, but they did garner rave reviews from those who caught their performance.
I can't wait to have a browse through the 138 (!) videos later...
Simon McCoy is a bit of a joker. I'm pretty sure this was a deliberate 'stunt' to show the pointlessness of presenters having to hold iPads which they never refer to. Ever.
I have to admit that I never really got in to Looper, but that's a great track.
Incidentally, the date are confirmed for Indietracks 2014. http://indietracksblog.blogspot.co.uk
I've got one of the grotty Travelodge rooms booked already
Ballboy are my absolute favourites. Overall No 1 artist according to my Last.fm charts, I've played songs by them 1,300+ times since Feb 2006. Probably the only band I have every release by, bought on (or around) their release date. (I think I included a track on Disc 4).
When I was still living...
OK, here's a splurge of stuff...
Check out the pics and gifs(!) from yesterday's Indiepop all-dayer in Nottingham - https://plus.google.com/u/0/photos/115803327778927739452/albums/5923828846958686305 - I couldn't go and felt fairly miffed all day, but by all accounts, it was a fantastic...
Yeah, I feel the same as I'd like to join in with the daytime banter but don't always get the chance, and when I check the thread in the evening I have to edit myself from writing 10 paragraphs of vaguely relevant waffle!
Really glad you've been enjoying the CDs though and I look forward to...
That's a good shout; I used three of the tracks from that on my 4CD set. I also included a Manhattan Loves Suicides and a Blanche Hudson Weekend track - they're bloody great.
My mate Trev runs his own label and has released records by both MLS and BHW - well worth checking out his website for...
