we haven't scored one since dunk vs liverpool in potter's first season. unless you count the one that lee mason's incompetency robbed us of last season
missed it having a fag in a pub garden heard a cheer of 'albiooooon' from in the pub (bearing in mind said pub is in the north west of england) and returned immediately
no, because people asking for a 20 goal striker are generally at the extreme end of the debate and probably don't want to be convinced otherwise. meanwhile, the more rational discussion, which is the one that the vast majority of posters participate in, about whether we need more goalscoring...
am I the only one who deson't see caicedo as a natural replacement for biss? imo he's totally wasted in that defensive role, we need someone like biss in the middle between mwepu and caicedo with the latter two helping to dominate the attacking third with their energy and ability on the ball
accept we may be playing better without him but no idea where all this attitude stuff is coming from? we know he's passionate and probably not over the moon to not be playing right now, but potter has had nothing but positive things to say about his attitude and commitment
think that was one of those where if the linesman keeps his flag down we probably get the decision. there can be no tolerance gap when the decision on the field is offside, otherwise you'd end up giving goals that were offside but weren't 'offside enough', therefore overturning a correct on...
very good half. would like to see sarmiento in the second half, as city push us back more there'll be some great areas for him to get into with his pace and dribbling ability
yeah he is, I'm not here to start a debate as to whether he's enough (though personally I'm not sure), my point is that if the club decide we do need someone else, that someone should be someone with more experience than a 17 year old kid, who wont be ready for another few seasons
yeah it's going to be a while before he's someone we can actually rely on, though I'd imagine by 20 he could maybe start to have more PL minutes and get the odd start here and there. my overall point here (and I think we probably agree on this) is that choosing not to bring in another forward...
I don't disagree with any of that. what I take issue with is the suggestion (not your suggestion) that there's no need for new forwards next season as we already have a 17 year old kid we can rely on instead. can't be bothered to go and find where but it has been said, and to me that seems...
you probably know more about irish football and the characters of the kids currently coming through than me, so I'll happily take your word on that. but you absolutely can have too many strikers, and as nobby cybergoat mentioned young players aren't going to come to us to sit on our bench when...
thats all great but there's a lot that could go right or wrong between now and him getting in the first team, so being patient with him is my exact point
we must have been reading different posts then, possibly. I avoided the specifics as I didn't want to derail this thread into another 'we...
