Great players, but my time in Newport was before them. Alf Sherwood, Ken Hollyman, Len Weare, Ray Wilcox, Harry Harris and Rock Hudson.
Hudson later played for the Albion.
And John McGreal at Colchester seems determined to give them another go at Conference football.
All good news for Newport County, of course, who are storming up League Two, thanks to new man Graham Westley's ability to get his team winning unlikely away games by large margins.
Nobody is grizzling at the Club. We are complaining about the fact that SASTA misled the Club and all supporters, by putting it about that there would be a normal matchday train service and then not providing one or even telling us not to expect one, even though they knew well in advance that...
It's quite clear from the tweeting that people connected with the Club have been doing that they know that Southern let them down, by providing incorrect information about the service that would be running.
As posted on the other thread ...

Why mention Brighton? Post-match there were half a dozen trains that went to Brighton, while we Lewes-bound passengers had to wait for more than an hour for just one.
More to the point ... What fool of a public servant brings such ignorance of the costs of doing a project like this that we get conned into imagining that a figure like £369 million is a reasonable sum for electrical and plumbing work?
However great their "value for money" might be, £369 million is a ridiculous amount of money to spend on "refitting" Buckingham Palace. They could build a new one for a tenth of that sum.
She went to the same school as me. Only much later. And, in my time, they didn't allow girls.
And I didn't have much time for Villa supporters, either.

I'm aware of that. I was just checking whether or not it was possible to buy the space that we've freed up at tonight's game. Not on-line it isn't. Whether it's available to a telephone caller is, of course, another question.
I first came across how WIERD the Albion ticketing system could be...
I've just checked the Club's ticketing website, which tells me that there are NO tickets available in our section of the North Stand. Do I assume that Roz's seat has been sold? Or do I assume that they have simply not made it available via the website?
All will be revealed, no doubt, when I...
