We weren't though were we. They had some half chances but we still had two or three really good chances to score late on - far better than theirs. So yes, it felt nervous because any team CAN score a goal and take a couple of points off you if you're only one goal ahead. But in reality even...
Loving the new series. AA Gill slaughtered The Bridge2 last week in the Times but I think he's got it badly wrong. Yes Saga is more of a caricature and that feels like a response to a focus group, but she's a great character and the storyline is gripping. Have Ep 4 saved to watch tonight.
First time I can recall hearing a loud chant start from above us in WSL, south of the centre line. Made everyone turn round and look up at WSU. I think the acoustics make it hard to hear certain parts of the ground so this was great to hear.
Of course. I mean that only a player being addressed by the ref and then the captain should be able to speak to the ref. would be insane to ban any player at any point from addressing the ref.
Just watching the Newcastle man city game. Whatever the rights and wrings if the disallowed goal, there is no way that all those Newcastle players should be allowed to carry on and in just shouting in the face of the ref. it can't help the game.
If only the captain was allowed to speak to the...
He has a nice little dink cross that he's used a couple of times early in the season when Leo was playing. I think his crossing is better than many people think.
Yep. I think his pace is as good as ever. He's got smarter at making himself available for a pass. As I said, his crossing is...
Absolutely. The issue now though is how we replace Crofts, not Bridcutt. I've been saying for some time that Andrews will fill the Bridcutt gap. Crofts is not so clear.
Didn't look like it yesterday. Looked very sarcastic (if you can have a sarcastic pat on the arse).
BHseagull- he's a perfect stand in for Bridcutt. Liam doesn't offer too much going forward either. Andrews sprayed some great balls around yesterday - so I'd say he is offensive from midfield...
After conceding a foul and getting booked he patted the ref on the arse. Unnecessary and could have ended up in a second booking from some referees. But had a great game yesterday. A ready made Bridcutt replacement!
Totally agree. But Oscar didn't sound hopeful on the radio last night. If he is injured seriously, will take a lot of replacing. No natural alternative in the squad really. Agustein, Orlandi, Dave all too attacking to sit in there; nice lacks the experience and hasn't shown much going forward...
Oscar said on the radio that he is coming back from a serious injury and hasn't had the luxury of being eased in over Xmas. Clearly he's not fit yet and I imagine was frustrated at being replaced because he knows that when fully fit he is five times the player we saw in the last couple of games.
