The rights of the parent vs the rights of the child: Do parents have the right to endanger their child's life? Or does the child's right to receive the best possible care trump that right?
I don't doubt the parents' intentions, but when it comes to cancer care, parents do not "know best" - by...
Thanks both for your response.
I agree it's not a lot of miles, but in fairness my maintenance has been pretty sub-standard. It sat doing nothing over winter without a proper clean (my bad, I know :( ) so that probably didn't do it any favours.
I think the answer is probably to go for it, get...
Dear fellow cycling geeks - I was hoping you could offer me a bit of advice. I'm reasonably new to cycling, so far from an expert - and a little suspicious about what I've been told today.
I've taken my bike in for it's first ever proper service - it's about 1 year & (roughly) 6-700 miles old...

Now I'm sat at work, looking out the window at the sunny day, and really wishing I was on holiday...
My commute to/from work is 3.4 miles. It takes me 30 minutes by bike. If there were no cars on the roads causing hold-ups it would take 10/11 minutes. If this were the other way round, it would be 'terrible' in plenty of drivers' eyes, but this way round it's just accepted. Why?
Why is it that...
James Rodriguez... the other one. Lovely passes before hand, does the same defender twice, then a delightful chip over the keeper.
The volley is better than the chip if we're just looking at the finish alone, but it's beautiful even before the final touch.
So the full name, "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland", will have to change, as the country will no longer contain all of Great Britain.
If Scotland votes yes, new passports for everybody - but I'm sure our passport office can cope with the backlog that will create
I think the shoot-out answers the question - as soon as the Albion are mentioned on the commentary, our one link to the match misses the vital penalty. If they rocked up at the Amex, it would be "a jammy win for the South Americans".
WDW.
Seems wildly optimistic, but in the last week Italy have lost their captain to injury and drawn with Ireland (in London) and at home to Luxembourg. Even if that were their entire reserve team - which it wasn't - I'd still be expecting them to hit 5 or 6...
If we get out the group then we should reach the quarter-finals - the toughest draw we can get in the second round is a Falcao-less Colombia who, if we can knock out one of Italy & Uruguay, we should beat. Any further than that is probably beyond us.
I reckon that's what we'll do, too - so have...
