If you for some insane reason didn't like Brighton and Hove Albion, I would imagine you'd get pretty tired of hearing about what a well run club we are and how good Graham Potter is...
It might be these blue and white specs I have on but I think "special" is about as far away as you can get from what United were tonight.
They pressed us for the first 10 mins of the second half like we knew they would after playing that badly. We naively insisted on knocking it around outside...
I actually think the ref did well. Let the game flow and Dunk's tackle was idiotic and my first impression was red. He was cautious but rightly checked after VAR looked at it. Whether or not Webster was getting there is up for debate. I'm not so sure....
I know if it was the other way round...
Yeah of course. We aren't going to Man United, dominating, making everyone proud and then getting anything out of the game are we? No no, have a silly 5 minutes and chuck it away instead!
This. Judging by the very low starting bids Burn's intentions were probably pretty clear from the start. He wanted the move, we likely wanted to keep him but wouldn't go near what Newcastle would offer. And this came at a time when we could still get a fair wedge.
There's also the possibility...
Exactly this. Time wasting is a thing of course, but the majority of the time it's just to disrupt the flow of the game and the crowd noise surging. It works too.
I think a more important issue is to just not stop the game for an injured player.... ever. Unless he has to be stretchered off...
