What pleasure do you gain by going on another forum and saying “he’s not very good, you shouldn’t be buying him. We tried to buy him last season.” Slight mixed messages.
Grow up. There are better ways to spend your time. Read a book.

Thierry Henry wasn’t a very good finisher when he joined Arsenal as a winger with pace. He turned into a world class striker. It can be coached.
Plus pace up front gives our midfield more space to create.
That’s why.

Indeed. Thanks for taking the time. Bang goes my conspiracy theory!
Think it needs to be relayed and explained better. It’s much more fluid and unobtrusive than the PL though.

It looks like a story about Liverpool struggling to score goals. Find a good, potentially cheap player who provides lots of them. Put two and two together.....
I’m not sure how someone in Italy would know more than plane trackers here. Their website looks like the Daily Mail. They’ve got to...
I think it’s been generally quicker and better.
But Ronaldo’s second goal was clearly (in my view) offside and wasn’t called back.
Because it goes back to UEFA, I would say it’s open to conflicts of interest. You can almost imagine an earpiece hearing “just leave it. It’s front page news.”...
Agree with this.
I understand the celebration and Hungary’s stadium looks brand new and very impressive.
Generally very large stadia and gets lots of countries involved.
But.......
It’s amazing how many differences there are in the playing surfaces. The Wembley pitch looks incredible but...
Watching him lollop around the Amex a few times has been surprising given his stature,
price and pay. But.... he’s rarely injured and plays a lot of top class games a year. He’s also won a World Cup. I think he’s lazy but what do I know?

It’s always a bit scary watching two of the more heavyweight teams play early in a competition.
France look excellent partly because Kante is so unbelievably good, he’s like two players in midfield. He’ll go down as a real great of the game.

I’m bothered as an England fan and would be far more bothered as a Germany or France fan about that last goal which was clearly offside. But because it’s Ronaldo and a scoring record, UEFA appears to have turned a blind eye.

Worried I’m involved in all this as I’ve used it recently. In my defence, I’ve been working hard and may have been Americanised.
Is it an idiom?

Waddle is unfortunately representative of the standard pundit these days. Knows a lot about the top three, a reasonable amount about the next three, cliched bits about the next 5 or 7 and then ignorance and chatter around the rest. There are more than a few.
Who are the exceptions?

He’s a little annoying on Talksport but he keeps things moving and gives people time to talk (to a degree). It’s what he’s paid to do. He’s very accomplished but a little sensationalist. Simon Jordan is quite interesting. Isn’t Talksport owned by News Corp and therefore related to Sky?
In his...
Let them go on holiday and come back refreshed.
I thought he looked like he was really enjoying football again towards the end of the season when injuries were purged/quelled by a world class medical team and facilities helping him to reach somewhere near his potential. Same with Lallana. It’s...
Was 11/10 when I first spotted this thread. Now 2/1. Suspect that will move to 4/1 tomorrow and so on and so forth. Everton fans piling in.
He’s a better fit here than at a club that wants to spend £40m on players being offloaded by the top six. The overhaul there is with the chairman too...
Emotive, pragmatic, creative and he also leads with honesty; a new approach which is thoroughly commendable and should hopefully gain support from all the players, staff and fans.
It’s a really impressive piece and goes to show that to pigeon hole or generalise current players or former...
