[Misc] How did we do without ?

Err...not according to Jefferson Starship: We built this fatberg, We built this fatberg on wet wipes and (loo) roll. Say you don't know me, or recognise my arse Say you don't care for what comes out of that kind of place Knee deep in piss and shit, sinking in your fight We got too many runny...

Clap for our Carers : Tonight 8pm

You could always start one titled “All cyclists run red lights while all motorists obey the Highway Code to the letter’

    [Misc] 101 No one in.

If you had any idea of the working life of a call taker at Sussex Police HQ, there can be few jobs anywhere where the turnover of staff is so high. A friend of mine would sit crying in her car before she started her shift, so much did she dread going in (she’s since moved on). Stripped of...

[Misc] When airlines start flying again

Sadly even the BBC has become a ‘clickbait’ website to stay relevant, a lot of vacuous content and unnecessary Coronavirus fluff on there, in between bigging up their own radio and TV output.

    [Albion] Andone coming back!

In old money he’s not worth a lot, but seeing as Bloom won’t have two shillings to rub together post-Corona, if we can get him banging in the goals we may be able to cash in. Taxi!

[Misc] When airlines start flying again

Doing a BA Baracus/Dennis Bergkamp is the way to go. People are too quick to hop on planes with no thought for the planet. Holidaying in North Wales is the way forward.

[Film] A film you have re watched in lockdown that you forgot how good it was

City of Men and City of God are two great films; two even greater Brazilian films in a similar favela crime vein are Elite Squad 1 and 2, just fantastic viewing and starring the great Wagner Moura from Narcos.

[Film] A film you have re watched in lockdown that you forgot how good it was

Having seen some poor reviews of The Departed that instead praised the original Hong Kong version, Infernal Affairs, as being far superior I gave the HK version a spin. Not a bad watch, but no more than 6.7/10.

Big thumbs up from this end, although possibly cheaper buying them separately.

[Football] Premier League / Football League attempts to finish the season

A mate turned up for tennis in Eastbourne last summer with these poncey pink monogrammed balls that had cost him £5 each online. A couple of shots into the warm-up two had gone over the perimeter fencing forever lost in dense woodland :lolol:

[Travel] Ten reasons now is a great time to start cycling

^ Palace fan or not, you've hit the nail on the head Hotel Charlie, I hate the riding position of a standard road bike and the 'stretch' to the brake levers, which never feels all that safe. For me the flat bar road bike is the best option, all the spec and most of the speed of a standard road...

[Film] A film you have re watched in lockdown that you forgot how good it was

36 Quai des Orfevres. Fantastic Parisian cop film, corruption, murder et al. Gerard Depardieu and Daniel Auteuil at the top of their game.

[Travel] Ten reasons now is a great time to start cycling

Errr... ’All tax payers pay for roads, not just motorists. Those who pay income tax and those who pay council tax are the ones who pay for roads, and that's not just motorists. And anybody who buys anything in Britain also helps to pay for roads because VAT also contributes’ As a non car...

[Travel] Ten reasons now is a great time to start cycling

Indeed. Not having nor wanting a car I road cycle commute to work year round (20 mile round trip) and the only time the bike racks at work are ever busy is on sunny Spring/Summer days. It would be great to think that what’s happening now could stretch into the long term but guaranteed it will...

[Travel] Ten reasons now is a great time to start cycling

Bit of training for vehicle drivers on the recommended Highway Code distance for overtaking cyclists (which isn’t 2 feet from their right handlebar grip) And we’re up and running! :D
