for the most part, think hinshelwood has a slight advantage in that based on where he plays, he should be judged on goals/assists (or lack thereof) as much as solly was
agree but something tells me we will still be having this debate in two, three years time when hinshelwood is still in the team. think the poster in question has well and truly made up
their mind now
oh dear. crowded field but bankes is truly one of the most abysmal. will never forget him totally wetting the bed when it came to giving doucoure a blatant second yellow (twice!!) in the palace home game last season. and he’s done it many times since, most notably in the west ham vs newcastle...
what’s absolutely mind-blowing is that he thought yesterday's was a clear and obvious error, but no such luck when it came to digne kicking through march in the villa home game last season
completely disagree. defending player doesn’t extend his leg in front of the attacker. there is no overt blocking motion to stop the attacker getting to the ball. doesn’t even swing his leg into the attacking player, outside of what looks like a normal running motion in that situation. some...
if the ref gave it on the field, then i’d say ‘incredibly soft, but supportable’. but VAR should never, ever, ever be getting involved in that. clear and obvious my arse. we wouldn’t get a VAR intervention on a call like that in a million years
sound to me like a ‘wait and see’, in terms of seeing how the picture may have changed re injuries. think the need for a fullback is obvious, and arguable a right winger and cm too.
from my perspective, the challenge committed from behind pedro as he was bearing down on goal, very much obscured by the defender’s body. unless he had x-ray vision, the was no way he was going to see that, through the AEK player’s silhouette. that’s what VAR is for
only fair that i post this thread after rightly critiquing taylor’s performance on saturday. for the most part, he was excellent. kept control, allowed the game to flow and there was nothing horrendous. a couple of dodgy fouls, obviously made a mistake with the penalty and that challenge on ferg...
