Thing is, at least three cups were luzzed well after the initial goal celebration, in a deliberate attempt to get them over the glass/perspex. They landed on the polythene on the other side and partially obstructed (or at least slightly polluted) the already compromised view we had.

We have 1 more point this season than we did at the same stage last season despite selling 2/3 of the best central midfield we have ever had, an ongoing European campaign and an injury crisis.
I do understand your point.
I guess I feel at the very least it would be nice if we'd adopted the culture of mask-wearing while symptomatic, if absolutely nothing else.
But yeah, given the UK public's broadly outraged reaction to even this one relatively minor expense and inconvenience, I'm...
I didn't mean to steer this into a tiresome Covid debate either, although the thread title sort of implied a connection.
I appreciate many have completely 'moved on' and I totally understand that. I only wish my partner (and her elderly auntie who died from Covid) could have been allowed to.
It would have been so disappointing. But I just ordered two new boxes of in-date tests for whenever I get any sort of bug.
I accept some people will feel this is OTT, but perhaps they've been luckier as regards to those close to them being affected.

I really hope that no-one was selfish enough to travel knowing that they had Covid, but I appreciate that's naïvely optimistic.
In the UK it's a common assault, regardless of the context in which it took place. In this case with aggravating factors (the age/vulnerability of the victim).
As I type this from the departure lounge at Marseille, I can't wait until tomorrow 2pm.
It'll be different for sure, and of course I'm trepidatious with the current issues we have on the pitch, but I'll never take playing the likes of Liverpool for granted.

Marseille is righly renowned for its Mediterranean seafood.
We've been in Marseille all day and evening. Chilled, nice atmosphere, friendly people. One barman clocked us and was nothing but polite, saying he reckons we'll beat them. Watched the Champions League with some PSG-hating locals.
I can't say what tomorrow will be like, or what every bar in...
