Looking at the two next two weeks or so on the Met Office and trying to interpret the huge range of Meteociel charts, there would appear to be minimal hope for those of us who enjoy a bit of frost. But thinking back to the snowy episodes we had a few years back, how far ahead were they forecast...
But it shouldn't be up to the unions to have to apply this type of pressure, it should be up the government and other authorities to stamp it out. Can't imagine why they seem so reluctant to get involved *sarcasm*.

UK Outlook for Sunday 13 Dec 2015 to Tuesday 22 Dec 2015:
A band of rain is likely to move north through Sunday giving a rather mild day, although there is some uncertainty as to timing of the rain at this stage. This is likely to be followed by colder, showery conditions...
To all those saying it's not a good result for Labour, it is, it really is. I recall reading on here that people should 'go large' when betting on a UKIP win, and many were expecting Labour to finish second.
This short article seems to sum it up pretty well...
Rightio, thank you. So, that looks to my untrained eye like a 'cold plunge' from Greenland(ish) enveloping the UK (and much of North Eastern Europe) and blocking the mild, damp air blowing in from the SW. Temps at 850 metres above seal level being around -5 which would equate to what in, say...
Oh effing Nora, at least provide a link so us layman can have a rudimentary stab at interpreting your 'I know something you don't know' hints. Please.

A lovely cold and frosty walk to the station this morning - so much better than a drab and dreary mild day.
The Met Office seems less certain about milder temperatures for the next few weeks, now stating "Large day to day variations in temperatures are expected, with overnight frost during...
Do you ever check any of the crap that gets sent to you by your right wing mates? Do you believe every single dubious 'chain letter' email you receive? If so, please let me have £20k because I'm due to receive £10m but need to use your bank account because mine's broken.

All weekend I've been struggling with a stupidly random thought stuck in the back of my mind; was there a band (or song, or album, or something), in the same-ish mould as Bogshed, Pigbros, A Witness and so on, called Blubberhouse(s)? Or possibly one of those band's hometown?
Any ideas?
