Having watched the Wrexham documentary and watching a number of their games, it’s evident that this guy is the real deal. Scores from anywhere with a great work ethic, surely worth a punt.

I went by train that year in one of the seagull specials. Got no further than Corby in Northants. Fair play to the club, got free travel and entry to the Valley later on in the season and witnessed Malcom Poskett notching a hat trick.

Would have helped me. Missed the penalties Sunday as the last fast cat to the Island is 2245. Given the outcome not a bad thing I guess.

Carefully plan the Journey. 9:32 to Waterloo from Portsmouth harbour. Change at Clapham. Change at Willesden for Wembley Central. Due to a suicide on the line at Cosham chaos ensued. Advised to go to Havant, however, more chaos there. Ended up getting a cab to BOXPARK

Really enjoyed the whole experience. Reasonably priced drink and good food with a bit of a sing song thrown in. Seemed to hit the spot with all generations. My lads aged 31 and 22 loved it.

For the those of us of a certain age I remember a really decent Sheffield Utd team that boasted the likes of Eddie, Alan Woodward , Billy Dearden and Tony Currie in the 70’s. A different era where players weren‘t millomaires and played through the pain barrier every week.

It was 10, however, with the injuries today its down to 7.

Lets hope the injuries to Ferguson and Veltman are not as bad as the initial indication. Veltmans experience will be vital next week.
