I'm having a real hard time believing this tank will make it to Ukraine and then successfully drive how ever many miles it has to drive to the front without immediately breaking down. Russian soldiers are going to die of embarrassment.
A lot of Ukrainians are going to die from that tank...... die laughing anyway. When I was about 5 I made a tank from an empty shoebox and the centre of a toilet roll and it looked just like that.
I did say images were inevitably released by news agencies, but I should add that a lot of images/videos I saw early on were cellphone shots on Reddit taken by Ukrainians & Russians as the tank trains etc.. rolled through their villages. Tanks don't move stealthily through town, people get...
Weststander - one thing that my mind keeps coming back to is this... the Russians were not well prepared for the initial attacks, but they were able to get away with a fair bit. They didn't have enough food or clothing but that was okay, they took territory and ransacked houses and businesses...
I keep hearing this but I'm not sure I'm ready to believe it. I've yet to see satellite photos of masses of equipment near the border, or of masses of troops. These types of photos typically find there way into the various news sites at some time.
We heard about and saw images of the...
I think so too. The fighter jet pilots will already be fighter jet pilots, they'll be upgrading and needing training but they'll be highly motivated and not starting from zero. Same thing for the tank commanders.
Just the Raptors in Toronto but I suspect it's similar. Beer prices that will make you give up drinking for the night, forced atmosphere from the venue (lots of music, t-shirt giveaway... etc). Generally enjoyed the evening even though I don't understand basketball and never will.
I think this was more about policy than the US sending actual tanks. The Germans didn't want to go it alone on the Leopard 2 tank decision as they know it is viewed as an escalation by Putler. They needed the US to pledge tanks first so that could join a movement rather than start one.
The...
It's not getting them there, they have 56 planes that can transport 2 at a time each (apparently they're beasts to move). So they could be there quickly, it's the maintaining and training that takes time.
RE: The posts above
- We only had 7 home games this year due to the snow storm game being moved to Detroit
- With a max of 9 home games in a year it's tough on the fans to lose one
- Losing a chance to see a team we only see every 8 years is horrible. This means a 16 year gap between seeing the...
I'm glad you'll get a chance to see them but not happy that we lose a home game. We're all very concerned that the Cowboys game will be the one we lose, we only see them at home once every 8 years or so and it would suck to lose that.
Really think the Jags have a shot against KC, could just be wishful thinking on my part. On draft day Lawrence seemed very down to earth to me, maybe people judge him on his looks?
(responded to this and then realized you weren't talking to me)
People are a lot easier going here, see a wider mixture of jerseys, hats, outfits in general.
Tua now ruled out of the Dolphins/Bills game, Bridgewater not expected to start, the Dolphins will be using QB3 Skylar Thompson...
The biggest news of my day - Damar Hamlin has been released from the Buffalo Hospital... miraculous recovery!
Tua is in stage 3 of the concussion protocol, I believe he needs 3 doctors to agree that he is ready to move to stage 4, then agree that he can move to stage 5. What doctor would agree to that? Tua has likely had 3 concussions this year already, what 3 doctors would take the risk and approve...
I see where you are coming from but it needs to be considered that:
They had the Cleveland game moved from home to Detroit due to a blizzard, had 1 practise and 1 walk through that week and still won
Then flew home and returned to Detroit 4 days later to play the Lions, with one walk through...
