    [Help] Country House Hotel recommendation?

I like South Lodge too and have been a number of times since the early 1990's, which makes me feel old. A couple of years ago I was there at the same time as the Arsenal Squad, we beat them the next day =0)

    [Albion] Lost memorabilia

I (hope I still) have Betamax recordings (in the loft) of all Brightons' 1983 FA Cup matches that were shown on TV - which I believe is all except the first round tie at Newcastle - however I have "lost" the ability to play them.

[Misc] Any other old gits build Lego kits?

My 6 year old grandson loves Lego, he's already doing stuff aimed at 15 year olds'. For Christmas he's asked for "some Lego that I need to follow the instructions on". He is however not an old git, so this may be irrelevant to this thread.

I was thinking the same; "isn't it about time Welbeck scored a goal?". Not a complaint, simply an observation.

Never trust anyone who has a "successful" career in "Finance" ... and/or someone who cheats on their wife/husband/partner (and even less so if they boast about it).

... so do injuries on the day (on both sides), and heart attacks, and subsequent police suicides (for example) not contribute to your definition of "a riot"? Did you not see the policeman stuck in the doorway being repeatedly attacked by "peaceful protesters", or the same "peaceful...

    Quitting Smoking Thread

I'm the oldest of 6 kids, my mum and dad both smoked. When I was very young my dad gave me these words of advice; "If I ever catch you smoking I'll bloody kill you". So I never did, and I'm nearly 70 (that's the first time I've typed my near-age, its a bit of an eye-opener). All 5 of my siblings...

    Trump

Surely anyone who has any knowledge of European 20th century history can see the horrific parallels and dangers that this man and his cultish followers creates. This is truly horrific and frightening.

[Misc] Phrases you hate people saying

My wife keeps saying "I was gonna say ....", and then saying whatever it was she was gonna say. Yesterday she said "I was gonna say, shall I open a bottle of wine?" It confused her when I said "What are you gonna say instead then?" It drives me to distraction!!

    [Help] Mental Health help needed

Pre lockdown I used a Relate (in Crawley) they were good. I have no recent experiences for them so don't know about waiting times etc. You could also ask your GP for a referral to local services, that worked for me too.
