We all make mistakes when driving and don’t spot everything, and despite looking sometimes someone dives/flies into that blind spot as you are about to manoeuvre. So, it has a point in these scenarios.
As I a say, it’s to supplement your driving skills, not replace them.
You’re joking right? It’s meant to assist you AS WELL AS looking over the shoulder, NOT instead of.
Some cars don’t always light up for all vehicles (and also bulb can get broken, or system cease to work etc.) so always do the over shoulder check before changing lanes.
As for lane keep assist...
The motorway was originally meant to go all the way into London, meeting the south circular. But was abandoned (prob ”cost”. NIMBYs etc.) so abruptly stops at Hooley - travelling north where M23 ends you can see where it would have done as you “exit” the motorway, now just parking for...
Newcastle can complain (rightly I would maybe say on whether a pen) all they like on this one, the outcome is the same in that Liverpool score (via penalty or tap in if not gone down).

Had the line stayed, all villages on the line would have greater appeal, attracting more people to those villages - thus they would be towns by now and a lot MORE congestion as a result.
Ultimately, you need to reduce the number of people needing to travel - so more WFH, no more house building...
From fans of the selling club, yes, but not to the buying club - “Oh look, a mercenary just looking for a big pay day, we don‘t want those types at our club”. The player has to live with the buying club after all, not the selling club…
