Nothing to do with being fans or customers just being treated like adults. If I have the foresight to know I will miss a game I will put my ticket on the exchange if however something comes up unplanned then the last thing on my mind will be contacting the club to faff about with a ticket I...
I used to look over the the linesman and get an instant decision now I have to wait 2-3 minutes for someone with a TV to confirm the type of decision that frankly VAR should never be used for. The Trossard one was a dead ball which the linesman was level with if they can’t call an offside from...
Don’t worry I will be on here throughout the season it’s a ridiculous system sucking the atmosphere out of the live game. We are now at a point where officials needs technology to decide on incidents like this.
And that is progress is it?
Because neither decision warranted the delay of a VAR review both could/should have been made by the on pitch officials to prevent the confusion being caused in the ground. This is not about correctness of decision it is about the experience of the people paying to watch the live experience
This is what I don’t understand, the rules are the referee and linesman should make their decision as if VAR was not there and the technology only comes into play if they have missed something or the referee wants to check. The two decisions in our games should have been spotted and ruled out...
With Dunk and Burn bursting forward I am not against having one player who sits and does the ugly stuff. Still out most likely scoring outlet from set pieces so gets the nod for me. Also not really fair to throw Webster in for his first game at city away
This is not what VAR was for, the linesman and referee should just disallow this like they would have before this whole farce was introduced. If this is the kind of decision requiring video assistance then refereeing in this country is worse than we ever thought.
Last weeks was a set piece...
Dunks disallowed goal was a good example of where VAR should not be needed why can’t the onfield officials just flag that and get on with the free kick. This keep the flag down and let the guy with the video replays sort it out approach is a confusing nightmare.
Plenty to be positive about and lots of signs of progression. We also have the benefit of now having a different and more positive approach to away games which means we can start picking up points and wins away instead of solely relying on our home form
Exactly work, family, illness, travel issues etc all things that can happen to any of us when football then has to go down the pecking order. In these circumstances the last thing on your mind is ‘well I better ring the football club and let them know in case they confiscate my ST’
Ridiculous
