Well, I'm not going to lie. I have indulged in several during this Euros. Its just so easy isn't it ? Chinese or indian is always welcome, but a bit of a FAFF when you've got an England game on. PIzza is (essentially) just cheese on toast, as I have argued extensively on these pages, but it...
OK. In my defence that game happened to take place on my BIRTHDAY. So I may have been a trifle 'emotional' at the time, following an eventful and colourful pre-match buildup. There may also have been some SCENES afterwards, in the wake of the result, which further erased some braincells...
That sounds amazing.
I often scatter some hickory woodchip in amongst the charcoal. Leave the lid down when cooking chicken or pork, and it really infuses the flavour. And what a SMELL.
This complete and utter BORIS of a summer has severely stifled my BBQ adventures so far though.
Absolutely.
I was too young for Moscow 80, but I remember watching LA 84 as a kid and being enthralled by him (and went on to break many a joystick on that Spectrum game :lolol:). I knew almost nothing of his backstory though, till watching that doc the other night. What an amazing character...
Slightly OT, but did anyone else watch that Daley Thompson doc on BBC2 the other night ? An excellent insight. His father was murdered, his mother never once went to watch him in competition, so he had almost zero support until his auntie stepped in when he was a teenager and let him live with...
I was a complete STALWART against gas BBQs for years, never saw the point of effectively having a gas cooker on the patio. My brother-in-law had a massive all-singing all-dancing one, but at the end of the day, you're still just cooking over a gas stove in the garden. Mmmnah.
However, these...
No, they have covers over them (this is the 3-burner version). The gas comes through little holes. The coal trays hold most of the ash anyway. But you can forget the coals/trays completely if you like and just grill over the gas. I don't usually do this, mind. I like my meat smoked.
He had the talent and potential, but not the application, maturity or professionalism to make the most of it. I'm sure the club did all they could to try to steer him on the right path, but there's only so much they can do. He likes the craic, thats more important to him. He's still gone further...
There's 4 gas burners. You put a couple of trays over them (or 1 tray over 2 burners, you don't have to use all 4). Load the trays with charcoal, ignite the gas, wait for the coals to start turning white. Then turn off the gas and crack on with cooking on the charcoal (the grills go over the...
Bayern won't take long to correct the weird appointment of VK I don't think. Following their almost unheard-of trophyless season, he's going to have to hit the ground running or it won't be long before he's back applying for Universal Credit. Glasner may not have to wait too long for Bayern to...
One of our consultants walked in this morning to speak to the FD about something, and a few paces short of his desk, said to him "may I approach the bench ?"
I picked up my phone and went for a shit.
Presumably it'll be at silly-o-clock anyway over here. What are they, 8 hours ahead ? I don't think I'll be getting up at 3 or 4am to fish around for a moody stream to see our ressies against the Yamaha Triads.
If £8m really was their opening gambit, then Napoli are a bunch of timewasting tyre-kickers. That is absolutely DERISORY for a 23 y/o PL regular 1st-team starter, and a full international (albeit for the scotch), with 2 years still on his deal.
TB should tell them to think about tripling that...
If its a binfest rant I might persevere (depending on the author), but I must admit if there's several CHUNKY paragraphs all stacked up then at best l'll skim-read to get the gist, or just move on to the next post. Its the equivalent of being trapped with the pub bore in full flow on his...
