He played one awesome cross field ball to March in the first half, but other than that was pretty ineffectual.
Defensively poor too. A bit like Locadia, he doesn’t seem to understand his role when we don’t have the ball.
I remember the Norwich players urging the ref to speak to the lino as I think they felt Jimmy had tugged back their #2.
Fortunately it was given, but, it was one of those awful heart pounding, nervy games ... only really enjoyable after the final whistle (typical Brighton :)).
‘Bullet’ shot ? Not in this match. This was the scrappy goal where Jimmy jostled past a Norwich defender to slot the ball in to the bottom corner, and time stood still while the ref went over to consult with the lino to see if a foul had been committed. Thankfully not ! :)
I think our wide players, especially Locadia, seem to struggle defensively in a 4-3-3, and leave our full backs exposed. This draws other players out of position (to cover) and creates gaps in front of our defence, leading to opportunities for the opposition (more so than in a 4-1-4-1).
