I think that might well be the case. If we get through in the cup (or we go out and Newcastle go through) it is the perfect time to play it. If we have to play Newcastle at the weekend, it is probably the worst time to play it so we won't want to commit to the timing this week.
I think the wide players gave the ball away a lot more than Stephens and Norwood but as a team we did that in the first half especially. Either way, great we got the win considering how we played. If we start playing at our best soon, we're going to hammer a couple of teams.
It's impossible to know how well he'll come back from injury but I am sure he'll have a big part to play in the run in. He was deservedly player of the year last season and was vital. This season we've managed much better without him than I think anyone imagined but it will be good to have him...
I think in fairness, that is clearly Fulham's strength. They are pretty average in defence and not particularly clinical up front but they do have a good midfield who play good football. To be honest, I thought Stephens and Norwood did okay. The real worry was down the flanks, especially our...
Totally agree. Think he'd work well in our midfield and has always looked good when we've played them. Their midfield is their strong point though so I imagine it would take a lot to sign him even if we do go up.
Stockdale 9 - Great penalty save, confident handling when under pressure generally and decent kicking. Probably just about my mom
Bruno 6 - Wasn't a penalty for me but he made the referee make a decision. His game was pretty poor overall yesterday too. A number of misplaced passes. Will be good...
Agreed. I thought some of the comments on that forum were pathetic but we do have our fair share of people on here who moan about opposition tactics too. To say that we cheated our way to the win is pathetic and lacks any sort of knowledge of what the Championship is about. You can't base it...
Agreed. I meant more that they won't be an automatic first choice (like I assume Pritchard would have been) and that is down to Baldock's form in recent weeks. If we get through this window with that signing and no departures now Manu has gone, I will be very pleased although it would be good to...
I think the key word there is cover. In the summer, it seemed likely we were looking for a player to get in the side ahead of Baldock but now I believe we are only looking for cover due to Baldock's form and his partnership with Murray, although I may well be wrong.
Another of the big changes from last season. While we only lost once against top six sides, we also only won once. This year we've won three and lost one against other top six sides and also won against four of the next six.
He isn't but at least an option for the cup matches (where he's done okay against lower opposition) and another option for the league if needed. I think it does mean we're hopeful of an early deal. Hopefully.
Exactly. Similarly Vardy was pushed into the tackle against Stoke recently and it wasn't really two footed yet they reject his appeal too. I would be interested to know who is on that committee and whether they have ever watched football before.
I always find this type of response amusing. Someone goes against what is widely believed on NSC (sometimes just to be controversial) and say they have the right to their opinion. No debate there. Then others will disagree and suddenly they sulk, completely ignoring the fact that others are also...
Usually I would think QPR have no chance of overturning it but given they overturned both Newcastle red cards at Forest, maybe they will. I do wonder sometimes if they just roll a dice (probably with a lot more options for no than yes) and Newcastle happened to get lucky twice recently while...
