    [Politics] The Labour Government

The government we return is due to our voting system but proportionally more people vote for left of centre parties such as labour, the liberal democrats and greens.

    [Politics] The Labour Government

Not sure you can claim that 'the people' wont tolerate a socialist government, when a majority of people in this country have traditionally voted for left of centre parties.

[Football] Free 1901 ticket for today

Just a word of warning, although 1901 owners are able to transfer their tickets to guests, I think they are still responsible for the behaviour of those guests. I know someone who was banned for several months because he sorted out some tickets for employees who then subsequently passed them on...

[News] At what age should kids have smartphones - if at all?

Tip for anyone with kids, do not let them have their smartphones in their room overnight. Our kids hand their phones to us before they do to bed but if we forget to put them on silent, you can hear them pinging away all night. My 13 year olds phone once went off at 3am and it was a what's app...

[Misc] Weight loss jabs - Mounjaro, Wegovy etc.

I am sure for some people the 5/2 works perfectly and I pleased that it does for you, but for many of us there is so much more to this than simply following a routine. I am not sure how to say this without sounding rude but for many people guilt and feeling bad about themselves is a huge part of...

[Misc] Weight loss jabs - Mounjaro, Wegovy etc.

You did ask very politely in your first post to not be told to just eat less and excercise more! I suppose it's difficult for people who have a more normal relationship with food to understand how difficult this can be for some people. Best of luck with the jabs and thanks for starting the...

[Misc] Weight loss jabs - Mounjaro, Wegovy etc.

It's a while since I did the diet but I remember trying some form of ongoing fasting after losing the weight as it was suggested that this was a possible way to keep the weight off long term. Its just one example really though of a long list of things I have tried, none of which have worked...

[Misc] Weight loss jabs - Mounjaro, Wegovy etc.

I didn't have time to read the whole thread so I missed that. For me the biggest problem is that a lot of the diet industry ignores the fact that for many people there is an emotional element to overeating and for some this can even develop in to a addiction as powerful and difficult to overcome...

That's very interesting but where is the evidence that smart phones cause Neurodiversity?

in Brighton Moksha Cafe, York Place is very good. My kids like the Breakfast Club, but I think its incredibly overpriced for what it is.

[News] At what age should kids have smartphones - if at all?

This is a tough one, my son has just gone to secondary school in to year 7, most kids at school have a smartphone and they use it to socialise and keep in touch with each other. I had serious misconceptions about him having a phone but we didn't think it was fair on him to be the odd one out...

[Misc] Weight loss jabs - Mounjaro, Wegovy etc.

What happens after you have finished the injections and have lost the weight? How do people keep the weight off? I have tried many diets over the years, the last time it was the fast 800 and I lost 2 stone in 12 weeks. After I finished I felt great and everyone was giving me compliments, I was...

[Albion] Thomas Tuchel **Appointed England Manager 15/10/24**

What rivalry?! For a rivalry to exist it has to surely be a two way thing, yet I don't think the Germans think of us as rivals, they would probably more likely consider the Netherlands or Italy as their traditional footballing rivals.

    [Music] Great “worst” albums

Kula Shakers second album ‘Pheasants Pigs and Astronauts’ bombed commercially compared to their debut album ‘K’, and received mixed reviews from the critics, but it was one of my favourite albums at the time!

[Other Sport] Beterbiev v Bivol plus the return of Eubank Jr

Usyk is right up there, Dubois would need to beat whoever wins out of Usyk and Fury to be in the mix as a P4P.

[Other Sport] Beterbiev v Bivol plus the return of Eubank Jr

Jared ‘boots’ Ennis Shakur Stevenson Jessie Rodrigues Bivol will get his shot again. Those are 4 of the best pound for pound fighters in the world! I don’t think Buatsi is under Matchroom anymore.

[Albion] Thomas Tuchel **Appointed England Manager 15/10/24**

I think for a foreign manager to be successful they need to have proven experience managing in England and understand our game. Where the FA went wrong with Capello and Sven is they chose managers that were not just foreign but had also never managed in the premier league and had no practical...
