cannot blame them for not wanting to really get stuck in when the ref has given crawley a carte blanche to assault as many of our players as possible. unlike their two-bob pub team opponents, most of our players have very bright careers ahead of them and could do without getting their legs broken
yes looking at the tackle on o’reilly again it looks like a metatarsal issue. obviously praying it’s nowhere near as bad as that, but when enciso got am injury there it kept him out for the majority of the season
obviously far too soon to tell but it didn’t look good. excessively forceful challenge on a really vulnerable part of the leg. reminiscent of pickford on van dijk, which of course broke his leg (absolutely nothing to suggest that’s anywhere near the case here). he walked off, which is good, but...
we actually played quite poorly imo, and i would also say that united defended very well, especially in front of their own 18 yard box. don’t think minteh needs hooked yet, there’ll be more space as united chase an equaliser. just need to keep it tight and not concede straight after the break...
