cannot blame them for not wanting to really get stuck in when the ref has given crawley a carte blanche to assault as many of our players as possible. unlike their two-bob pub team opponents, most of our players have very bright careers ahead of them and could do without getting their legs broken

yes looking at the tackle on o’reilly again it looks like a metatarsal issue. obviously praying it’s nowhere near as bad as that, but when enciso got am injury there it kept him out for the majority of the season

club have taken the unusual step of saying “we hope it’s not too serious” on their official twitter account, which sounds…not good…

the **** even has the audacity to put his hands up afterwards to say “what? me, ref?” absolute embarrassment to the profession

obviously far too soon to tell but it didn’t look good. excessively forceful challenge on a really vulnerable part of the leg. reminiscent of pickford on van dijk, which of course broke his leg (absolutely nothing to suggest that’s anywhere near the case here). he walked off, which is good, but...

[Albion] Minteh or Adingra - who would you start against Arsenal?

minteh. adingra’s directness is what we need from 75+ mins. really how it should’ve been last season, were it not for injuries

crap defending from hinshelwood. really naive, as you’d maybe expect. steele gets that imo if not for the deflection. really irritating

we actually played quite poorly imo, and i would also say that united defended very well, especially in front of their own 18 yard box. don’t think minteh needs hooked yet, there’ll be more space as united chase an equaliser. just need to keep it tight and not concede straight after the break...

think it is interesting how baleba doesn’t seem to be trusted to start in midfield. that was the case with the previous manager too

i think you have quite a loose definition of injury-prone. certainly if we take last season out of the equation, that doesn’t hold up

it’s been more like southern rail to be honest, with one every couple of weeks and maybe two in a couple of days if we’re lucky here
