Against the top sides we do this ... hence our better results have been against sides who attack us and leave us space. Soon as teams get numbers behind the ball the first think we do is reduce our intensity and pace of how we move the ball.

Too many players just not on it last night. Whilst Maupay seems to be taking the brunt of the abuse for me Lallana and Welbeck need to have a look at themselves because they are either not good enough or just coasting. Lallana clearly has ability but he continues to miss a good goal scoring...

What are you actually basing it on though. Fulham are currently the worst form side in the league so it would be quite the change of fortunes to win 3 of their last 4 to stay up.

Confusion is probably that if you are behind the ball when it’s played you can’t be offside If you are ahead of the ball when it’s played you are offside

We quite simply lack a player who is able to unlock a team who play with 9 behind the ball. Every time we face teams like this we become pedestrian, and have a lack of ideas and skill.

I’m not going to disagree with that. However he was head and shoulders above every other attacking player on that pitch tonight.
