I think RDZ will go with a very strong team. He will want to make a statement, and if it pays off, we can get a result against the best team in the league/Europe. If we can do this, why would we fear Sevilla/Milan/Porto next season.
Yes the formation and tactics are different, but the confidence to play out from the back as we do now is definitely because of Potter. There is no way Bloom would have appointed RDZ straight after Hughton, it would have been a car crash.
Leicester won the league, and aren't a big 6 club. We won't be a big 6 club while we are owned by a local fan.
As another post states, we are a top 6 club this season, and that's it.
Simplist answer - Pep will respect RDZ and it will be no more than 4 if it starts looking that way. He is a football purist and will want us to get into Europe.
Also, when was the last time we didn't score for 2 games in a row. I expect us to net somewhere.
Looking back at the heartbreak of this season, it's funny to see how both Boro (1 season in the top flight and failing the play offs tonight) and Wednesday (looking like another season in League 1) have both fared since then.
Anyone that doesn't want Brighton, I genuinely don't think is an Albion fan. Why, with this squad and management team would we want to settle for 8th? Then lose some key players in the summer, replace them well enough, and then aim for 8th again??
For me, when we smashed Liverpool at home I...
Funny how this goal mirrors Cucurella's goal so much from last season.
- Much loved left back
- Goal towards the end of the season against a "big" team
- 1 of many goals in the game
Surprisingly, I am not annoyed. We just got completely out played and out thought by a team that wanted it far more. Give me this kind of result then the dirty/undeserved/soul-crushing results like the Spurs or Fulham game.
I'd love to play an Italian team. Would be interesting to see how RDZ would be.
Due to work, I am out of the country a lot, but am actually home for September and October. Would love to be able to get to 1 European away day.
3 wins from out last 6 games guarantees we finish at least 7th and in Europe next season.
Everton, Southampton and one other. Could be another historic night in the north east....
