I'm so sorry to hear that, losing mum last month was bad enough but can't compare to losing your own child. I hope that maybe next year will ease the pain for you all and that your new baby helps with that. Take care

There are different sorts of hernia...the one kids usually have is an inguinal hernia, low down in the stomach and they just repair the muscle and its a quick recovery time. Both my boys had that and they were up and about in a few hours.
Adults often have a spigelian or epigastric hernia...
That's really rough...hope things go well, whoever they are. Hope it's been caught early enough which the screening programme for woman is very good at doing.
