Good idea in principal but not sure practically if it’s workable.
How long would you have a presale open for ? And when would you have it ?
Having no idea how discussions operate between clubs regarding allocations I’ve no real idea if it’s something that can be done.
I did say ‘almost’.
There are opportunities, just depends if those in that situation are able and willing to take them.
Essentially those without a season ticket it’s pointless accumulating points anyway.
Yeah probably I’d guess at 300/400.
But do the club want to pay for 400 unsold seats?
Personally I wish they would perhaps risk the loss to give the opportunity to non STH but football is run on spreadsheets now and not goodwill.
If historically not enough non STH have bought tickets that...
I wasn’t meaning to be, it’s a shame the rules are what they are and how it’s lends itself to almost being a ‘closed shop’ for non season ticket holders. To me this seemed like a good opportunity for those who aren’t STH to get to an away game and get some points. But as ever £££££ rules.
I think your spot on.
I completely agree there are probably a good 300/400 non season ticket holders who would have wanted to go.
Club probably didn’t want to commit to 800 tickets and only sell half, which is probably a bit harsh on fans from the club but sadly it’s the way it is.
Watched it last week.
Weird timing as I’d only just watched White House Farm on Netflix a couple of weeks ago.
Of course the only person who will ever know is Jeremy Bamber but when you consider the way they were murdered and the force and accuracy of the murderer …. Coupled with his weird...
Was surprised by the boos but in all honesty I expected a completely neutral reaction to White.
Spent a large chunk of his Albion career out on loan and the season he did play for us was mostly to empty stadiums.
No hard feelings from me, but I wouldn’t be giving him a ‘great reception’ either.
Predictable outcome.
Maybe not by quite that scoreline but in terms of teams right now it was a total mismatch.
The US right now not only have some of the top golfers in the world but they also had 8/9 of them absolutely bang in form which was always going to be a struggle.
However 2 years...
Yes attend most away games, my point isn’t about other clubs it is about ours.
I don’t have an objection, and don’t see an issue with safe standing myself.
My point was mainly based around the club not being that keen and the post saying that closing stands to force clubs to install safe...
Or fans will just get ejected for standing which helps absolutely no one.
I don’t think a few rows standing can at this time be evidence of enough demand for the club to consider it.
Maybe other clubs fans have been far more proactive and demanding in their desire for safe standing, I do...
