I've had the veg pie and a pint of Harveys at both the SSCF and Spurs game and both times I got the deal (without asking). Vegetarian pie is very tasty and nice Harveys too
I'd really like to contribute to something just to say thank you. I mean TB has spent over £90 million of his own money making us all happy when he most certainly didn't have to put a penny in, surely the least we can do is say thank you and if there's some way a charity can benefit through that...
I wonder if it would be possible for someone to help you look at the UoS car park before you turn it down completely? I'm parking over there too, if they would let you park on car park 5 (which I think they seem to be reserving for press and disabled fans), there is then only a short tarmac...
Hung around for about 10 or 15 minutes after the match, walked back to car over in the university. As I wanted to go west I tried to turn out of car park to exit via the new link road that you come in on but was told by the steward that that wasn't allowed so had to wait in a fairly long queue...
The Spurs tw@t was directly behind me, his mates were saying he's Brighton and Spurs 50/50, really hope he was only there for today, don't want some pissed up JCL talking about Spurs behind me all season :(
This also happened to me. Was slightly worried that my money had been taken 30+ times too but on logging back in I can see only the one credit so now just got to wait and see whether the system will be working to spend it on Saturday!
Has anyone received their car park season ticket/vouchers yet (that's not in the 1901 Club)?
Still waiting for mine, only two postal deliveries to go as I'll be out before the post on Saturday
I hope the club do let him have a lap of honour and a chance to collect some more money at the match too, it would be nice if they could do something for him as it seems he's given up all his Christmas and birthday presents to raise money let alone attempting such a massive cycle ride.
There was some brief information provided with the SSC parking ticket but I went on a recce first as I'm not that familiar with the area. Basically you have to come off the A27 at the Asda Hollingbury turnoff (assuming you're coming from West/North), down Coldean Lane at the bottom turn left...
As I understand it, anyone can use any bar on any concourse after the game, this is designed so that away fans can stay and enjoy a drink too, so I really hope some Donny fans will stay after for a few beers with us. Apparently segregation will only be enforced for the Palace game. :drink:
As a mum I wouldnt want my son to have a general unless there was no other option. Perhaps you should ask if there's some way, as other have suggested, he could have a sedative instead otherwise I'd try the distraction method. Probably best if neither you or wifey makes a big deal out of what's...
My thoughts from yesterday:
Can we be told the time the gates will be opening? I went early as the club had suggested to find that Dick's Bar wasn't open and I had to stand in the pouring rain until 13.40 when the gates finally opened.
Didn't think the queues for food in the North Stand were...
I went specifically early to try out Dick's Bar and was told, by the minders on the door that I believe leads up to it, that the bar was closed and would not be opening at all yesterday, the first game it would be open for was the Spurs game so I'm amazed that they had any customers at all.
