Not so. See my post below about Christmas cards. Incidentally my mate in Henley was surcharged whereas people elsewhere in the UK in receipt of my Crimbo cards with out of date stamps were not. They aren't even consistent when they take the piss, it seems.

I must confess that I hadn't realized the post office had been privatized. That makes the outmoding of my first class stamps unacceptable. When I bought them they didn't come with a notice of expiry date. As Peter Cook would say, what a way to run a night club.
