Thing is though, it's the Government who set the policy for claiming JSA. The 3 'job seeking activities' required to be entitled, are, imo, quite lacklustre when one job seeking action is to browse the job section. So a claimant could say they had looked in 3 papers, and found nothing...
At the risk of putting myself in the lion's den here - I'm going to back up HB&B on this point
12 years or so ago, when i was married, we bought a house after selling our flat with negative equity. The Building society were offering 'negative equity mortgages' which enabled you to borrow 125%...
Bright - Kevin (Basil) started a thread about these issues a few days ago. If you can find that you'll probably find all the answers you need in one place
Actually I'm not sure that it didn't start the Sunday before which was 16th, meaning you were right, it's been just under 3 weeks
I dunno! All confused!
Just missed this post cos had to leave, but thanks for this. I asked the man in Job Centre and he said the applications had closed for this round, but there would be more in the new year so to keep checking
No stress for me down there apart from there being no staff to do the meet and greet...
Alder Roofing in Worthing is a mate of mine but I don't have the number to hand. I need to dash out now but PM me if you can't find the number and I'll come back to you when I get back from the scary job centre place!
Ah thanks for that.
Well I've just listed all the actions I've taken, emails sent/received, phone calls made/received etc on the planner thing they give you
It's my first ever time of signing on so not sure how it all works anyway. If I get grief, I'll plead ignorance and ask them to guide me...
HB&B - did you complete your job seeking planner thingy with the job seeking activities you've done in last 2 weeks?
I've done way more than the 3 required a week so hoping they'll see I'm trying and give me an easier ride than you had!
Enjoy your moment of glory at being right! They don't come around too often!
Still, I expect you'll still be in the wrong - you knew it was a con but let her go ahead and purchase them!
:jester:
It's my first day of signing on today too, although not until 1.25pm
I was contacted about a job this week. I'm qualified enough to usually earns around £30k. However I am now being told that due to the influx if finance staff on the market, I can now only reasonably expect £18k!!!
Usually I'd...
I think the price per item is determind by the amount of risk the card processing company believes themselves to be under. Also the amount of time it takes Streamline to pay the funds over varies by sector, ie risk
I'm with Bozza, I reckon Streamline have witheld the amounts due for...
Well I was told decaff doesn't = 0 caff, but is in fact 'less caff'. That's why I made the point that if I use 2 x decaff then I may be equalling a normal tea bag's caffeine quota which defeats the object.
My ex husband suffers with it, and was given the UVA treatment on the NHS but it left his skin with red/purpley blothches that have never gone away
He too used to see a marked improvement when we went to sunnier climes for our holibobs
The Donovex cream worked well for him, and there was...
Yep that is my prediction too
DvD is very entertaining, and frankly if he was booted out now the show will be very dull. However, I think the teeny bopper voters will ensure Joe wins.
I have no idea why George is still 'klinging' on though! He is BORING!
I've got a box of Co-Op decaf. I think it does taste like tea, and it's ok, but I find myself using 2 teabags to get a decent strength cuppa! I imagine that rather defeats the object!
