Up here in the Northern heights of Sussex we have a very active and organised food bank. Also, the donations boxes in our local supermarkets are usually well filled. It is a pity that they are needed.
Donate a modest monthly sum by standing order to a couple of medical charities and always drop a little something into the foodbank when in the supermarket.
Went several times late 'noughties with our two daughters when they were younger. Both now young adults and often ask if we can go back there again :) Probably even more awesome now, worth splashing out and staying in one of the hotels in the park. A lot of "...how do they do that" moments....."
Tesco already have a large store at the bottom of the town plus a Little Tesco near the secondary school. Also has two McDonald's if you include the one on the by pass plus a magnificent range of charity shops for bargain hunters....

Memories of trips to Camber Sands and stops on the way home for a Coca Cola and crisps, only plain or cheese and onions in those days. Usual pub stops were the Cherry Tree near Ticehurst, or the (long demolished) Rock Robin by Wadhurst Station.
