[Albion] Well that lived up to all the hype...

I enjoyed the game, the Atmos was great and a lot louder than normal. The game has an edge about it and although the general play wasn’t great, the Albion deserved to win it for their 2nd half performance. The likes of Murray and for corners Dunk and Duffy need to be converting these chances...

    [Football] VAR

Hasn’t Hughton said he didn’t think it was. I’m not sure these rumours that March said he got a touch are true. CH: "I thought he (Dunk) was very good again but frustrated. We had an opportunity before the goal to clear it. I don't think it was a corner and the manner of the goal was very...

    [Football] Lukaku - Retrospective Action

As I’ve said on the VAR thread. The Lukaku kicks on Bong were picked up immediately after the goal by tv replays on TSN and NBC in the USA/Canada. Would have been no goal and a booking or sending off. Not to mention the corner kick that wasn’t. I’m amazed if March said he got a touch. He...

    [Football] VAR

Review of the goal would have shown the Lukaku kick on Bong. The VAR will review potential game changing decisions. So how can you say the VAR would not have buzzed the ref to say goal kick? I get that at first it may only be used for basic reviews but in time it will work as Hawkeye does. As I...

    [Football] VAR

I watched on TSN in Canada and the showed the reply of the corner from multiple angles. They thought it wasn’t a corner. Also Lukaku has a kick out at Bong as the Corner comes in. Should have been a free kick. These replays were shown within 20 seconds. With VAR the goal would not have stood, a...

[Football] VARs etc - does anyone actually want them?

The VAR will be match changing situations only! So if a goal is scored a very quick offside review if it was marginal, penalty decisions, red cards. That’s it folks. All these situations have a natural break and it will only be used if the official is unsure or the VR has seen an obvious mistake...

[Football] VARs etc - does anyone actually want them?

Have to agree with you there. I think the game really needs this but it needs to be done properly and as quickly as possible. If something needs multiple views, then you go with the refs original decision. It should only be used where a decision can be instantly identified as incorrect and can...

[Football] VARs etc - does anyone actually want them?

Interesting scenario, hope u are enjoying your beer! But are you saying all 3 incidents are controversial and need reviewing? That would be highly highly unusual. Basically the play has to be brought back to the original incident. If the decision was wrong, it was wrong.

    [Albion] Anthony Knackered?

I don’t think Bruno should be dropped but given a ‘rest’ instead and play Scholletto with AK down the right.

    [Albion] Dale Stephens

I was less concerned when Shaqiri went off. I think Hughes had settled for a point at that stage. I believe it was a bad decision from him.

    [Albion] Dale Stephens

BG, Yes, going forward, Stoke were threatening. Accurate balls played into key areas and big strong lads that can play a bit on the end of them. We struggled to deal with the quality of ball Stoke played. Stephens was the Albion’s best player imo but Shakiri for me was the best player out there...

    [Albion] Dale Stephens

Shaqiri was everywhere and quite often floated over to the left, went deep then was a support striker, he was everywhere. Trust me, watch the highlights. Oh and not once did he lose or give the ball away. Plus he played more accurate long passes than Stephens or Propper. Hence why Stoke were so...

It has to come in, it will come in. We just have to make sure it improves the game. My hope is that cheating will be highly affected. It’s the cheating that VAR technology should target.

    [Albion] Anthony Knackered?

I think he is having to cover more defensive work and Bruno is looking tired in the 2nd half of games. I think it’s time to change Bruno for Scholletto at Old Trafford. I think AK could benefit playing off a more imposing stronger player than Bruno. I love Bruno by the way. But in some games he...

    [Albion] Dale Stephens

Shaqiri was the best player on the pitch by some distance. He never gave a ball away once, knew where everyone was even players behind him. Played some superb passes and just floated all over the pitch so he was impossible to mark. No idea why Hughes took him off. I was glad he did. Stephens was...

I answered dark wolfs point. Your question didn’t make sense. I am not arguing against FBO’s. Just that they are being used when football has nothing to do with incidents and therefore anyone that might have a ticket for football will be judged more harshly. It’s like if I have a scuffle in a...

That’s my problem with it too. I actually wish the punishments were all harsh. But they aren’t. Just for football and most of the time these incidents have nothing to do with football.
