I saw Bryan Adams in about 1987 at the Brighton Centre (I think). Got to say, I bloomin' loved it. So did my mum. Favourite songs have to be Tonight, This Time and, of course, Summer of 69. However, cannot stand anything after Into The Fire.
I agree that we can't have clubs not living within their means, but what if a billionaire wants to buy a club and bankroll them? Under FFP, they would have no incentive to buy a club with smaller revenues as they would be unable to spend the money the billionaire would be willing to give, except...
My second son was born to Truly Sherri by Bearsuit. I told the band and they put an announcement on their website. Just one of the advantages of liking bands with hardly any fans!
There is also the argument that FFP is not fair to smaller clubs as it fixes their available spend at a lower level than richer clubs, thereby setting them at a possibly permanent disadvantage as it introduces a vicious circle. Would any smaller club want to take this argument up? Would this...
Well, it would be hard to have any sympathy for QPR and their more than generous salaries to Championship players. It will be interesting when we come to the day of reckoning on this. My guess (based on what I've read - I'm no competition lawyer) is that FFP will not be enforceable. Presumably...
I find the acid noise in any acid track bizarrely fascinating - the way it morphs from almost inaudible to squelchy over a period of 30 seconds. I love listening to that noise and its busy, industrial qualities - like watching a procession of ants at work.
That's my 'eclectic' mix. If I did another one, it would be my 'UK singles of the 80s less than two minutes long' mix. You're going to need more than that to get through the England match. I'm going to watch University Challenge and Only Connect instead.
