I have to say, I understood the stance if the buy back was £25m but £40m is massive, if we turned Lamptey around for £40m we’d be thinking it’s great business. Who knows, have to trust the club I guess.
I think this highlights what I’m alluding to, from 1-4 I don’t really think any of those are natural full backs except possibly Veltman. Personally I can’t see us playing a back 4 as we need to hide the fact we don’t have any proper full backs, a 3 or 5 makes more sense as you can disguise...
According to every article I’ve read he is supposed to be sensational. Personally not a fan of square pegs in round holes, Alzate and Groß are definitely not defenders, and putting Mwepu there weakens the midfield, they’re temporary fixes not long term solutions.
