I gave up my Albion season ticket a couple of years ago and I don’t regret it. I share my Saturdays at 3pm (unlike at the Amex) between Lewes and Whitehawk with the odd Worthing game thrown in. I recommend non league football to anyone.
I had to move from the Family area when the youngest of my kids turned 18. I ended up in the north west corner. At my first game I had an empty seat next to me and an older teenager next to that. About five minutes in he jumped up and went apoplectic, f-ing and c-ing at the top of his voice...
Am I missing something? If, as it looks likely, 8th will be enough for a place in Europe next season. We are one point off the Europa Conference. I’d take that.
We went to an Open Mic Night in Newhaven a few years back and it was rubbish. It was monopolised by a few regulars for their own enjoyment.
Last month whilst on holiday, we went to a fabulous Open Mic Night covering all genres of music being played by some very talented musicians.
Does anyone...
Lewes’ Deon Moore came on as a second half substitute and scored in the 84th minute as Guyana beat Puerto Rico 3-1 away in the CONCACAF Nations League. He’s in the squad for tomorrow’s reverse fixture.
Are there any other players playing for Sussex teams away on international duty?
Went to Peacehaven v Lewes. Admission by donation. Cheesy chips and a cup of tea. What’s not to love? Typical pre season game. No real pattern and about twenty substitutions. Strong gusty winds didn’t help. New Lewes signing Arthur Penney looked decent. Peacehaven won 2-1.
Their season may have been even better if Jake Robinson hadn’t got injured (after scoring) in the first match of the season. He’s scored goals for fun in non league.
Does anyone know if he will play again?
Don’t use trains all that frequently. What is the best/cheapest way to get to Wembley by train? Can book on Trainline, but have to commit to a specific train time which could be dodgy coming home. If we just bowl up to Brighton Station on the morning, are we going to get on a train and is it...
A group of us went to Worthing yesterday. Definitely a game of two halves. Thought they deserved the win overall. Hope that kick starts a good run for the final few matches.
Not sure the play offs are out of reach for Lewes - 3pts off the play off with 15pts to play for. I do acknowledge that Enfield have a game in hand and a better GD.
I have a mate who hails from Doncaster so I’ve kept him company on away trips to Sutton and Crawley (last night). For the past couple of months Doncaster have had Albion loanee Todd Miller (Cucurella lookalike) on their books. In his time at Doncaster, I don’t believe he has started a game and...
Absolute load of nonsense. I was at the game yesterday. The problem was caused by about 20 idiotic, mainly youngsters wearing Littlehampton scarves. It’s exactly the same behavior that they have done at several other games. Sadly, a handful of idiots that were Whitehawk ‘fans’ took the bait...
I was at the Whitehawk v Littlehampton game. It was pretty grim off the pitch. The Whitehawk fans (a few of them) weren’t faultless but most of the trouble was from Littlehampton. Flares in the stand, toilets, clubhouse and on the pitch. Homophobic chanting for the whole 90 minutes.
Whitehawk...
Was at Whitehawk v Ramsgate. 3rd v Top. Hawks could’ve gone top with a win but lost 1-3. Shame because it was a cracking atmosphere with a crowd pushing 500. I’ve seen them play much better this season but probably closer than 1-3.
He wasn’t a centre forward for a big chunk of his Albion career. For much of it he was on the right side of midfield or right wing. I remember going up to see a 0-0 draw at Notts Forest where he was brilliant at right back.
I know I'm not alone in this. I have two season tickets and have had them for about fifteen years. I'm the ever present and attend pretty much every game. Initially I think the other ticket was an under 10 ticket, it is now an under 21 one. I have three children/young people and my wife another...
