Gah, a plague on the house of whoever started this thread. Checked out the reviews and all great, so I've pre-purchased. What a fool.
I ended up buying through Green Man Gaming - I've been on their site before but never purchased, and just as I was about to close the browser (as it was the...
I loved the previous games, and am excited about this one, but way past being bothered to pay £40 for the game on release day and then a further £25 for DLC afterwards. I made the mistake of paying full whack for the special edition of Dragon Age last year and was then horrified when the DLC was...
Wages are higher in France (they have a much higher - might even be no - salary cap), and the ban on foreign-based players was bought in in an attempt to dissuade England players from moving there at the first wave of a massive cheque.
I think that the overseas players thing is a bit of a red herring - in that the two most successful teams in this tournament (NZ and Aus) had completely different viewpoints on it. What I would say, though, is that they had clear and definitive viewpoints. The RFU f'ed up on this issue by saying...
Standards in this area are ridiculously low, and for some reason the government refuses to publish national standards that must be adhered to. As a result you get monstrosities such as the Northgate gyratory in Chichester .
There have been a number of academic papers which have shown (mostly in the US I think) that reducing out-of-work benefits increases employment rates (i.e. decreases unemployment rates). It's pretty obvious, when you think about it - people no longer receive liveable benefits so are forced to...
This thread has MASSIVELY underperformed. Having not seen the show, the thread title of 'Naked Choir' and 'Choral stimulation' promised much, but all I can see is a full-clothed choir and very little stimulation
I think the problem is that it's the argument reduced to a soundbite - the truth is rather more complex than that.
At the moment, we operate in a free trade area. If we ceased to have membership of that free trade area, business operational costs would increase; some of this may come about...
The BBC article doesn't read like he wants to shut it down at all - instead he says MI5 need more cooperation from these US service providers, which is a much more reasonable position.
glasfryn, the problem with shutting them down is that the terrorists would just move to other encrypted...
What is this run rate about? They looked set for 350 at 30 overs, and now they're struggling towards about 300. I know there is an extra boundary rider in the last 10 overs now but this really doesn't look to clever.
 What about those of us that picked both?
I don't think anyone has to worry, I have lanterne rouge all sown up. It's a bad sign that Sagan, despite pulling out, is still my top scorer.
But Simster, this is the new dawn, and England are actually half-decent at limited overs cricket" (he says, just before they lose every game in the series)
I am, genuinely, a bit more enthused about the limited overs stuff now that we actually seem to be playing the same game as the other...
I think that they are rotating the bowlers - they need more than just the front line bowlers as experienced ODI players, given the possibility of injury, and it makes sense to give players time against strong opposition rather than saving them just for games in England in May against lesser...
As above, except I rang up to cancel it and they offered me a new 12-month contract (same discounted price as previously) for phone, broadband and TV and when I signed that I also got access to the new channel for the same amount of time.
I agree with ofco8. Compare your deal to the AA new members deal every year, and I'd be amazed if you're not paying more.
Every year when the renewal letter comes through at some extortionate rate I ring up, threaten to leave, and they magically offer cover at the same price as the RAC new...
