E-mail sent to Jim Daley, Mayor of Lewes

Good Afternoon Mr Daly, Can I please take a moment of your time to remind you of two conversations we had in the run-up to the recent local elections. In these conversations you PROMISED that if the Falmer Stadium decision went against LDC no further appeals would be forthcoming. You even...

City Council back Falmer and rubbish LDC

I had a rather " heated discussion" with Jim Daly (a leading Lib Dem LDC councillor) on my doorstep in the run up to the Lewes election. He is actually, as a person, not too bad a bloke. He promised me that if Ruth Kelly gives us a yes, LDC will not pursue the matter any further. He even went...

Curst Sons unfortunately want rather too much money. Looking for a band to play a gig in Lewes. Ska band mentioned presumably Ska-Toons. We wanted to try and look elsewhere as people get fed up seeing the same local bands all the time. Any others out there? Anybody remember the "Wild...

As far as I can remember I think Lucy took over around October last year. A lot of the dross have been cleared out. I've just spent the weekend in Valencia with Lucy for Las Fallas and she is very much looking forward to the night.

Pub / Carvery in Lewes area

Good food, quite expensive, no carvery though. Only carvery I can think of in Lewes area is the White Hart, leaves a bit to be desired though.

"The recent revelations about the Albion's proposal to locate a hotel with the stadium must be a factor in the decision. The Club kept their consultant's report a secret in the resumed inquiry and never mentioned where they would locate the hotel if they got the Falmer site. They never...
