    [Albion] Saturday’s game is huge

Funny you should say that! I've just spent a happy 20 mins watching a download on BT sport of our FA Cup 4th round match in 1984. #scenes.

[Albion] 40 years ago today: Three trains went to Notts...

I wasn't there, but I have got a little memorabilia from that season:

First impressions are very positive. I've paired them with pirelli cinturato (or whatever stoopid name they're called). Tomorrow will be a 40 ish mile round trip commute assuming the tubeless set up holds up tonight. Looking forward to it.

Oh dear, oh very dear. I've been out on my MTB today. But I seek redemption as I've just had my first ride around the block on my new hunt wheel's.

Govember or Rovember or, in fact any other Embers... The idea is to have a bike ride each day for 5 miles or more. It was a friend's idea, but I fancy seeing how a little and often affects me. Will I get run down and get a cold? Will I not notice a 5 mile a day ride during what would...

Yes, always good to arrive at work "completely plastered!".

I love the notion of a low mileage tube. I've never even thought of them having too many miles on the clock. I don't even track them on the super useful gear component section of Strava. I wonder if I'll start now. (Probably, I'll add it to my list of things to do)

Hey Spongy, strava is simply a way of tracking your physiological decline due to ageing! The sdwiad is a brilliant challenge. I did mine in June this year. Hellish in places, funny in others and hugely satisfying. Oh, and you'll want to eat everything you see for several days afterwards!

I'm not riding it, but do wish you all the very best for the ride. Hoping you have a fabulous time.

Yes, good point. I did indeed change the cables and housings. That would certainly have been a part of the difference.

It's a game of opinions... I was staggered how good my 105 5800 was when compared to my ageing sora groupset. In my experience money spent on cycling stuff is always money well spent. Oh yes, a good set of wheels would be good too. However, I could see that if you put a new groupset and...

Does the strength of the greeting depend upon where you are and when? What about those lonely winter evenings when you're in a country lane, its dark and the rain is relentless. You see another rider's light coming towards you and both belt out a cheery "Good Evening!". There's a place in my...

2 Degrees? It looks steeper than that.

Oh ouch. Just to have that land on me when it is stationary would be bad enough, I hate to think what it would be like if it was still spinning. I wonder if the wear on the rear cassette would be more than for our normal set up. I think, for me, it goes into the pile of things I enjoy thinking...

    [Albion] Goldson - Rangers [CONFIRMED]

I'm hoping Connor and Jamie play in their first European match tonight on BT Sport. It's been nearly a day since my interest in last season ended.

I think sometimes when I look down and see my dry bit of rusty rope going round and round it is probably some way short of being 98% efficient.

Yes, I think the tour is deliberately playing it low key this week. They're following the trend of F1, tennis and cricket by not trying to compete with the World Cup. TTT yesterday made me a bit annoyed as it is stacked against the single good rider in a lesser funded team. Little wonder BMC...

Spot on. I then continue to talk gibberish as I pass so the horse knows I'm there.

I'm wondering if I may be able to give my own trumpet a little parp? Yesterday I rode mainly in Sussex for about 95 miles with a load of climbing and am feeling it somewhat today. Those hills are no higher than my local playground, but climbing them from the rivers makes them seem huge. All...
