+1 to Cape Cod and Hyannis. Dont bother with Plymouth. Salem is an interesting tourist trap very close to some excellent breweries. Do the Harpoon brewery tour, also if you're flying in to Logan use the water ferry if the weather's good - much better views than that horrid tunnel. :)

I have - in the past - caught games in both the Railway Tavern and the strangely huge Elephant and Castle on Burrard. The E&C is probably the most likely of the two to be "open to requests" though!
Knew a guy in Tongdean Lane that used to do such things. His cars were ridiculous. Wonder if he's still around...

Try either Santa Barbara Brewing - or the giant pub next door. Plenty of TVs and decent food too. I was there last week :)

Totally off topic, but most of those Rogue-Voodoo beers are awful. The lemon chiffon weisse is the exception - it's pretty nice on a warm summers day.
