I don't go away often but journeys like this make me realise how lucky we are to have the amex.

Walk from the seafront to the downs in 20 minutes.
Stand at the top of Mcintyres Field and gaze upon the Center of Excellence.
A short amble along the A27 and you're at the River Adur.
Mooch up to Lancing College and watch the planes coming in to land.

I was with a group abroad once, a few went off for a curry and met them in the bar later to hear they had 'done a runner' but 20 minutes later realised one of them had left his 'man bag' behind with all his money, passport etc.
Strangely enough it wasn't there when he went back.
The traffic problem will never be resolved until they either create a bypass across the downs or make the A27 a dual carriageway from lyons farm onwards. That's where the bottleneck forms.
Traffic Jams are part of the IKEA experience though so don't expect anything different!
