Let’s not get giddy, after the L’pool game some were seemingly acting like the season was pretty much done in terms of avoiding relegation and aiming for a mid table finish. The last two results are most welcome however we’ve got some pretty grim fixtures coming up, a point or two out of the...
They're crap and awful to watch, unfortunately particularly Palace are far more pragmatic than us tactically and have the quality to take their limited chances.
Some of the dross spouted on this thread is hilarious, judging by Potter's persona on the sidelines & in interviews perhaps his beliefs align with some folk on here who are adamant we are safe and are plotting our way to a mid table finish.
I think even some of the Potter worshipers might...
A straightforward answer is Fulham, they have the least points on the board presently so it's a fact. Unfortunately they are playing a side about as limp wristed as us today (presently) so I suspect things will be a lot more uncomfortable come this evening.
I’m sorry but the Burn experiment has to end after last night. He has been culpable/partially culpable for at least five goals conceded this season, probably more. Off hand, the Wolves home game and the Leicester away games in league and cup, alongside last night. It’s a shame as he seems like a...
We're going to miss Mac majorly, been so heavily involved for us creatively. With that in mind surprised Potter hasn't given Lallana a start, I thought Alzate looked a bit lacklustre in the Blackpool game, albeit it was his first game back after injury.
Spot on my friend. People are saying Potter will need a crystal ball to predict Burn will play so poorly, did they not watch the Leicester game where he was embarrassed by a pacy wing-back? He had an absolute stinker and I hope we don't see him in a Brighton shirt again.
Out, ****ing hell if people are convinced by a 45 minute display and a woefully defensive Wolves side I can't believe it. A free header from 6 yards out away from another loss, defence is just not good enough under Potter.
Who could have predicted Burn would be out of his depth against pace in all fairness to Potter? It's not like he got rinsed against Leicester and Arsenal by pace, oh hold on...
Surely the squad is far better than the squad Hughton had in his time here? We are just not pragmatic enough to win matches, we leave gaping holes in our defence and concede set piece goals for fun. Welbeck and Maupay on the bench tonight, and Welbeck doesn't even get on, why?
Potter seems to have lost the dressing room and his seemingly random team selections cannot help confidence.
I'd get Eddie Howe in - kept Bournemouth in the league for a fair old while and only relegated last season by injuries. Then, if the worst came to the worst he's a superb Championship...
Might see the Potter outers increase in numbers after that - another spineless capitulation. Pretty football is all good but if you can't stay in games and ultimately achieve the results the play deserves you're going to be in the relegation mire come season end.
Couldn't agree more, lets be honest he's been thrown in at the deep end here against an in-form Son and Kane, but really hoping he goes well. I think we were all expecting us to concede 2 or 3 at least regardless tonight.
