Pushed further up so he can thread the balls through. He has a wand of a left foot (apart from on set pieces apparently!) but he is being asked to set up play from his own half. Last Sat he delivered two lovely balls through for Bruno but he didn't seem to be allowed to get forward much after...
Does he not though? He seems to have come in with a pre-defined idea of how to play whether the players are good enough for that style or not. Has he got the best out of the players at his disposal
Is he using the players correctly though. LuaLua in that strange inside forward role, JFC more holding than playing forward, slow defence being asked to push up. Can only use what he has but he has to get the best from those
Don't know why but I just haven't taken to him. Its early days and I hope that changes, but, so far the formation and what he has said has not given me confidence.
Hope Toko hurries up and gets fit (or Hyypia starts playing him) which will then release Ince from playing that holding role (which I presume he played today) and allow him to drive on more
I'm still hopefully that since Hyypia came in the targets had to change because of the way he wants the team to play and therefore, the new targets will arrive soon (not sure I believe it though!)
Reading The Nowhere Men, which features our own Head of Youth Recruitment (presume he is still in that job), Mark Anderson, who used to be involved at Liverpool, and young Teixara gets a mention. Imagine not only Hyypia but Anderson had a say in this one.
