Arsenal are signing Rice and already have Partey so difficult to see how Caicedo gets regular game time there so would be an odd move. Likely to get starts at chelsea but it’s a mess there and no European football this season and could again struggle to qualify for CL.
Unless someone else...
£7m initial outlay for someone who has featured hugely for us and a key part of our qualification for Europe and all the riches that brings.
If he left for nothing that would still be incredible return on investment
Yep and not just the PL look at PSG in France (9 of last 11 league title), Bayern Munich in Germany (11 of last 11 league titles) and Celtic in Scotland (10 of last 11 league titles).
Man City are staring to dominate in a similar way with only other oil or state owned clubs likely to break the...
I think £40m for Colwill is about right and I would back the club to spend that but I don’t think calls that his true value is £50-60m and that’s what we would need to get him is the case for the reasons I highlighted with White.
£40m is a bid that says we can see the potential but not...
We let White go for £50m and that was after 36 appearances in the PL, being a championship player of the season and being in the Euro 2020 England squad.
Colwill has potential but he is nowhere near the level White was when we sold him.
I can’t see us going above this offer but at least we can say to RDZ we have given it a proper go. It’s an interesting one for chelsea as if they block it they have to actually play the lad or he will be running down that contract of his and move for peanuts next summer.
Watching things like this do not make me feel any better about the prospect of losing Caicedo you can see why the club will be pursuing top money for him the guy is a machine
Recommend turning the sound off!!!
Still being reported the fee is way below £60m if that is true I would question why we are letting him leave for such a low amount unless someone is coming our way as part of the deal.
If he had a year left on his deal I could see something being done for a price we could work with but Chelsea under no pressure to sell him and rated there. Best we can hope for is a further loan option or he ends up as part of a deal with one of ours going to Chelsea. I think he would like...
He had an even stronger squad at Chelsea and could not get a tune out of them. Given time Potter has shown he is a good manager but beyond us I struggle to think of many PL teams who would afford him the same luxury of time Tony did. Which makes palace an even stranger move if it happened as...
Thought we may hold onto Caicedo but not hugely surprised if he goes as well and think the way RDZ is talking suggests something likely to be done quick and we know about it so am sure there is a grand plan to replace both.
Be interesting to see where they end up as Liverpool I struggle to...
This was his sofa interview clearly he has been very moved by this and wants to make a difference and whatever you think of him as a pundit hats off to him for trying to make a difference
