The change of system was a nice, but necessary change (think Jones may have a big say in that though). However, it was still poor.
His job as manager is to get the best out of what he has, can he say that he is doing that. I would hazard a very strong guess (can't prove it obviously) that given...
Like Tuesday think we might get the 3 points in a scrappy 1-0.
Hope it's not a draw though, think I would prefer a defeat (very strange thing to say I know) and the end of the hyypia reign rather than a draw that drags it out even longer.
Was it defective? By your own words it was cheap, therefore how long would a reasonable person expect such a product to last?
Personally (and without knowing the full facts) I would ask it it was worth the hassle and cost in pursuing?
In the program he said something along the lines of 'I believe in the system and the way we play' and then comes the change.
Someone, whether on the training ground or maybe up higher, must have had a word. Maybe Bennett said something!!
Not changed my opinion that he is the wrong man, but if he can finally admit the formation he wants to play won't work and the one tonight is here to stay we might be getting somewhere.
Give us a chance, taken 3 months to convince hyypia to play with proper wingers next stage in his education is passing and then service to the front. Baby steps!!
Suppose it would be too much to ask for him on the right wing and Kaz on the left with full backs overlapping and a holding midfielder and 2 midfielders further forward.
I have a problem with this stat. It does not say how or where the chances are created. How many absolute sitters have the forwards missed or failed to get on the end of compared to how many 20/30 yard shots have been taken because there is no other option?
Bar the stoke game under McGhee I can't think of a time when people were actively calling for the manager to go. Even then it was probably only a loud minority (yes I was one).
Maybe if they only win 2 games in 3 months without showing any sign of change or motivation to change the situation then yes, but hyypia has clearly had more than two games.
