The goalkeepers starting position was too central. He needed to be at least one metre to his left to protect that side of the goal. The wall protects the other half.
Are you sure? Kerry Mayo didn’t make his first team debut until 1996 and Gary Hart until 1999.
They also played the centre in 2002 did you go to that one too?
Swap Border & Smith for Lara and Tendulkar
I’d give serious consideration to swapping Warne for Murali too.
I think you’ve got an all rounder too many with Kallis, Khan & Hadlee.
Someone like Curtley Ambrose or Alan Donald in for Khan or Hadlee would be my pick.
Gilchrist unlucky not to...
At 31 this would be the first Brighton manager younger than me.
What’s scary is the game before his birth we beat Exeter at home at the Goldstone in front of 5.585 fans. Goals from Kennedy, Nogan & Clive Walker.
Loved watching him play, incredible awareness, touch and intelligence.
I can only think in his prime watching him play live would have been an absolute treat.
Good luck to him, a genuine class act.
I can see why the Wolves goal was ruled out. Subjective, but Fabianski would have much preferred someone not on his toes.
If you want to pin the keeper from an offside position then you run the risk. O’Neill shouldn’t complain.
I’d advocate taking potential first time fans to county league games to see what their attention span is. Granted this doesn’t help the thread starter, but I’d only want to take someone who has the ability to watch the game without bribes or distractions.
Personally I’d want to be a bit further ahead of the pacer, as maintaining or speeding up in the final stages of a marathon is tough.
Maybe bank some time but discipline yourself to run 7:55’s. Good luck.
Thats accurate - I’m not sure the running down his contract part is though.
He had several injuries and fell out of favour with Adams.
He was always going to make way for the summer signings, especially after we signed Zamora on loan mid season, and Hart & Freeman moved out wide.
