I appreciate I’m not really adding anything to the conversation here, but that really was a horrific display of officiating. It was oh so obvious that he was going to allow Martinez to take all day to do anything and wait until the dying minutes to caution him. Awful.
To be honest I’d still argue that he was our 4th best centre back. I’m a big fan of White but playing CB wasn’t his forte, he’s now first choice right back at Arsenal and I think suits him a lot more.
