No doubt. But I’m glad he’s decided to call it a day. It does seem that these past few seasons he’s just going through the motions, which is to be expected after 25 years. Plus with every passing week he does look more and more like a tortoise that’s been dressed in a tight black shirt.

I’d like Adrian Chiles back on MOTD2. His deadpan Brummy delivery on the Two Good Two Bad section was always tv perfection. As a fan, he ‘got’ it.

This would be the obvious and common sense scenario. In fact I actually prefer the dynamic that Chapman has with the pundits on MOTD2 in comparison to MOTD which can feel all a bit too chummy at times.
