[Albion] Brentford vs Brighton & Hove Albion *** Official Match Thread ***

I'm really not sure about the ref tonight. He's nowhere near as bad as Darren England etc, but he's nowhere near as good as he thinks he is. Combines absolute confidence in his own judgement with limited ability. Partly the pen decision, partly Buanottes yellow card, some questionable free...

No offence intended, but this is a bit dull.

Can't be too disappointed with that. Would have liked to have seen subs much earlier than we did. And I think we could have had an equalizer - we seemed to be a bit unsure collectively as to whether we were going for the draw, or sticking with a 2-1 loss. Either way, a good away performance...

Dare I say it, an excellent first half. Very impressed.

The expected even-handed, balanced build up on Sky. Surely they could have found a few more scousers.

Been doing that for years. Papering over the cracks now, though, and as I type that, Brentford equalise.

Some writer described Maguire as an "armoire" after his performance against Brazil. I had to look it up; it's French for an enormous wardrobe. I think that's about right, although the wardrobe might be a bit quicker.

Regarding West Hams second goal, the issue is consistency. If we're going to allow quick free kicks, then do it all the time. The number of refs that won't allow them far outweighs those that will. IMO.

This was a comment about a female commentator on the Wolves game, not a player, and was clearly meant to be a joke. You must have been searching away for something to be outraged about, but my post probably wasn't it.

Bit of a let off tonight. Bellingham v quiet until he snaffled the late equalizer. Dunk probably not done enough to make the squad. Maguire to return to general acclaim, to resume his position as the Armoire of the team.

It's hard to think of anything that has been improved in recent times by Government Regulation. Or by Government full stop. Still, there's always a chance, I suppose.
